Sounds good to me. So here goes:
- My toddler's irresistably cute bum. I've seen it every single day for 19 months, but it never fails to make me smile. Of course, it would make me smile even more to see it clothed in undies as opposed to a nappy, but that's another story.
- Nutella. The taste of the inside of a Ferrero Rocher, but with all the goodness of skim milk and hazelnuts (note: no mention of 'chocolate' on the jar). AND able to be eaten by the spoonful. What's not to love?
- Watching my 8 year old be a 'kissing monster' with her 10 year old brother as the prey. Divine.
- My Simon Baker screen saver. (Having him actually jump out of the computer would make me even happier, but unlikely at this stage.)
- Finding the earring my toddler had pinched without having to search through her nappy. A tremendous relief. Now if only I could locate my deodorant, last seen in the hand of a 19 month old with a cute bum....
- Putting polish on my fingernails. After biting them for most of my life (too long a life to still be biting my nails) I have finally stopped. Permanently this time. Really. Stop rolling your eyes! I mean it!

ReplyDeleteIt calls to me from the kitchen constantly.
i grabbed a packet of ferrero rochers today. all gone. hmm. they are just too delicious. oh and i bite my nails but am giving up.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, nutella and ferrero rochers. You HAD to mention them.
ReplyDeleteI'm craving chocolate badly, instead I'm drinking chai tea and hoping the cravings disappear.
I have now passed down my nuttella obsession to my little 16 month old munchkin - it was suggested to me by the allergy & immunology paediatrician as a way to introduce hazelnut in tiny amounts (Munchkin is allergic to peanuts) - so I wasn't totally irresponsibly feeding her sugar-on-toast!! But now Munchkin and I have nuttella on toast for breakfast every morning (while I try to sneak in mouthfuls of the healthy calcium & iron rich weetbix with fruit and yoghurt in between! Lots of "myum myum"'s go can be heard during breakfast! I once saw a badge that said "Nuttella is sex on toast"! Too true.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to read about your happy things!
I still bite my fingernails. Any tips? To try stopping, that is. I don't want the tips of your fingernails. Not that I'm denigrating your fingernail tips. I'm sure they are fabulous, just, not for me, you know?
ReplyDelete(Love your work as always :)
I love the little 19 month old bottom too. So cute and smooshy.
ReplyDeleteI can concur with finding things that you thought were lost in a sea of... muck too. Tiny keeps tossing our stuff into the bin. So I have to go through the garbage before actually putting it out. Glamorous.
What colour polish are you loving right now?
Love your list lady. x
Tips 4 quitting: keeping file in a pocket at ALL times & when urge to bite comes... FILE. Slows down the growing process somewhat but breaks the habit. Of course, you do become addicted to filing...
ReplyDeleteAnd LOVING dark dark almost black polish, but still not quite long enough... hanging in there with my silvery pink pale polish till I can waggle my talons with pride!
Sooooh, I'm only the second funniest bloke you know ? Hmmmmm.fender4eva
